About the Artist: Eric Drooker

Eric Drooker is a celebrated New York City-born artist, known for his powerful illustrations, graphic novels, and iconic New Yorker magazine covers. A longtime figure in the global street art and social justice movements, Drooker began posting his politically charged artwork in public spaces as a teen.

His work has since appeared in The Nation, The New York Times, The Progressive, and numerous international publications. He is the author of several graphic novels, including Flood!, which won the American Book Award, and Blood Song, soon to become a major motion picture.

Drooker’s influence spans both commercial and fine art spaces, with his paintings held in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum, MoMA, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Library of Congress. He also animated parts of the film Howl and has worked with DreamWorks Animation.
