About the Image

This design evolved from two Instagram challenges: one to illustrate a flower for every letter of the alphabet, and another to complete a piece of work you started and never finished! As an avid gardener and wannabe Victorian botanist (I'll let you know how that career path works out), I really enjoyed learning about some new plants and old favorites and studying their forms to distill them down into simple illustrations.

Her work combines meticulous research and whimsical style to make art that's fun, engaging, and encourages viewers to look more closely at the world around them. She's insanely curious, probably doesn't sleep enough, likes to make pretty things, and can often be found staring at the ground trying to figure out what kind of plant that is.
