About Alameda: The Island City Puzzle

Larry Hausen lived in Alameda for decades, and it shows on every piece of this puzzle. The recreation, shoreline, and nature, the schools, cultural institutions, and restaurants are packed into this colorful illustration

Along with the image, the puzzle includes a personal letter about life in his hometown. It's a comprehensive picture of a local story: the parks, the museums, the small businesses, and the natural beauty, all rendered with the kind of detail only Larry could get right.

About the Artist: Larry Hausen at RuffHaus Studios

After graduating from California College of the Arts, Larry opened Hausen Design, an office within the Claremont Hotel In Berkeley, and later set up the first Creative Services Department with the Golden State Warriors. Larry now has a focus on award-winning posters for festivals, fairs, and special events throughout California. He resides in Cool, a small town in the California foothills, where he runs RuffHaus Studios.
