About the Puzzle
Soaring Unbroken, painted in 2024, depicts encounters with majestic raptors along Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. The Red-tailed Hawk and the Great Horned Owl encircle the coastal trail along a glimmering Pacific Ocean. Oblique Parang batik patterns symbolizing eternal serenity adorn the right half of the painting, following the popular Pagi Soré dual composition in batik textile design. The artwork is created in gouache, ink, and acrylic on a cradled wood panel.
