From the Artist: Oyster Art Gallery

A turquoise square with an outline of a black shell with a words highlighted by neon detail that says Oyster Art Gallery with IG:@ oysterartgallery and website oysterartgallery.com

I have always loved and experimented with art. I graduated from University of Oregon with an Art History degree. In 2019, when covid began, I lost my job and pivoted to art full time. Coincidentally, 2019 was also the year I bought my first home and realized there was a gap in the market for affordable and unique art. I created Oyster Art Gallery to help deal with my own stress and anxiety about the future and also to bring more sparkle to the world around me in a scary time.

I believe art has the power to spread empathy and destroy ignorance.

I grew up in the South Bay Area and San Francisco will always have a special place in my heart. This piece I made is a sort of fantastical view of what San Francisco looks like in my mind and pulls from the nostalgia of visiting San Francisco when I was a kid experiencing all the fun, touristy attractions SF has to offer like Lombard Street.
