About the Puzzle
Experience the iconic charm of San Francisco’s most beloved homes with The Painted Ladies 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle. Lined up on Steiner Street across from Alamo Square, these Queen Anne–style Victorian landmarks are famous for their ornate paintwork, playful details, and their resilience through the 1906 earthquake. Built between 1892 and 1896 by developer Matthew Kavanaugh, the homes are a joyful showcase of late–Victorian craftsmanship and San Francisco history.
Artist Paulina Lang brings the scene to life with intricate architectural details set against a sweeping downtown skyline at dusk. From playful home colors under an ombre sky to colorful window reflections, the image is filled with lively patterns, rich color, and small surprises that make for a delightful and immersive puzzling experience.
About the Artist-Paulina Lang

Paulina Lang is an artist and product designer based in the Bay Area. Although she has always had a love for art, she began painting in 2019 after discovering gouache watercolor and developing a deep appreciation for the medium. After several years of refining her practice, she began selling original paintings, prints, and art products at local art markets.
Over time, Lang has continued to hone her skills with a focus on making art more accessible and approachable. Rather than concentrating on traditional gallery spaces, she creates work intended to be enjoyed in everyday life—pieces that invite connection and feel at home in any space. She creates art she genuinely loves, with the hope that others will love it too. Paulina produced a 500-piece Livermore puzzle that includes 50 landmarks. Her work can be found on her website and Instagram.
