The Secret Garden makes a statement with rich colors and a provocative combination of natural and fantastical elements. This painting was completed in 2019. In Vera's words, "it represents a safe space of soul's refuge, calm, replenishment, and creative inspiration." 

About the Artist

Vera Tour is a “Soviet-born - Bay Area made” artist. She has been residing in Alameda since 2007, and has shown her art in local shops, cafes, restaurants, and galleries in the East Bay. 

Her art is created exclusively by brush and acrylic paint on canvas. It is often described as intricate, whimsical, spiritual, visionary, intuitive, inspirational, philosophical, and even psychedelic. The surrealistic motives and hidden illusions make her style of painting truly unique and recognizable. And one thing it is for sure is … colorful!

ARTPUSH is a non-profit organization based in Alameda, California which serves the greater Bay Area. They are artists supporting artists by sponsoring regular shows, exhibits, workshops, and festivals.

ARTPUSH holds ‘open studio’ art shows in Alameda and the East Bay, as well as skill development workshops. ARTPUSH created the Alameda Art Festival held in June of each year.
